Black, White or 'Grey'?

Tell me this isn't a double-standard going on in this story: "Grey’s Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington has publicly apologized for his behavior during an on-set "scuffle" with co-star Patrick Dempsey.

What the mainstream media doesn't want to write about is the fact that during said "scuffle," Washington placed his hand around Dempsey's throat and screamed "I'm not your little faggot." Imagine if it had been the other way around and Dempsey -- hands around Washington's throat -- had screamed, "I'm not your little nigger." I'd bet my life that this would have been front-page news and Dempsey would have -- rightfully so -- lost his job.

The whole issue has been "settled" with "an apology" (not even rehab), but this incident -- along with the N.J. same-sex marriage ruling -- just further prove that gays are still relegated to second-class status in this country. (AfterElton)

Is it just about the gays, this double standard?
