David Wright: Prince of the City

It seems David Wright and I are now neighbors: the adorable Mets third baseman recently bought a 3-bedroom, 4,000-square-foot, full-floor penthouse condo in the Flatiron District (sounds just like mine, give or take 3,600 square feet). "It's an old office building that they gutted, and there are only eight residences," Wright explains, with the exuberance of a new homeowner. Apparently when the first home you buy costs $6.5 million there's plenty of excitement to go around. "And now when my parents come here, they can stay right with me. They don't have to get a hotel room. My brothers absolutely love it."

David goes on to describe his new digs at the "ultimate bachelor's pad: "You walk in, I got a pool table, a pinball machine and the slot machine." He did hire an interior decorator to put the finishing touches on the place -- but he picked out the poker table himself. "We butted heads a few times, but it looks great," says Wright. "She wanted to throw a bunch of colors in there. I said, 'No way. Grays, blacks and browns. Guy colors. No peaches.'" (PageSix: The Magazine)

And for those of you who can't get enough Davey, here he is at the Crown Royal Playboy Lounge in Celebration of the MLB All Star Game last week in in San Francisco.
